About the Sovereign Empire of Brendania

The Sovereign Empire of Brendania is a hereditary imperial monarchy proclaimed on October 21, 2026, whose territory is Bir Tawil, the 2,060 km² desert between Egypt and Sudan that neither state claims. Its founding Emperor is His Imperial Majesty Brendan Smith I, Emperor, King, and Supreme Leader of Brendania and Founder of the House of Smith. The Empire conducts its foreign relations by peaceful diplomacy and is pursuing formal recognition.
